Nestled in the heart of Las Vegas' vibrant Spring Mountain Road district, Kaiseki Yuzu offers a refined culinary journey into the art of traditional Japanese kaiseki dining. This intimate and elegantly appointed restaurant captures the essence of Japan’s multi-course haute cuisine, balancing delicate flavors with exquisite presentation to create an unforgettable sensory experience.
The menu at Kaiseki Yuzu reads like a curated symphony of seasonal ingredients and authentic techniques. From the beautifully crafted Zensai Temari sushi featuring radish-wrapped shrimp to the melt-in-your-mouth O-Toro Sashimi sourced directly from Japan, each dish is a masterful expression of freshness and finesse. Standout highlights include the Homemade Zaru Tofu, boasting a silken texture that pairs perfectly with the subtle umami of the miso soup, and the Tamagoyaki, a sweet and savory Japanese omelette that balances the meal with gentle warmth. For the adventurous, the multi-course kaiseki selections such as the Stewed Scallop, Blue Fin Tuna Otsukuri, and the indulgent Filet Mignon steak with foie gras wasabi sauce provide layers of complexity and richness unlike any other.
The atmosphere at Kaiseki Yuzu is deliberately intimate and serene, ideal for special occasions or those seeking a quiet, elevated dining experience. The restaurant’s small size fosters a personalized touch, with attentive service that enhances the meal without overshadowing it. Guests have regularly expressed deep satisfaction with the combination of warm hospitality and meticulous food preparation — qualities that transform a simple dinner into a cherished memory. As one reviewer shared, their anniversary dinner here was “amazing” and incomparable to any other experience, truly echoing the spirit of Kaiseki dining in Japan.
Complementing the culinary offerings is a thoughtfully selected assortment of premium sake. The Miyaoroshi Ginjo boasts a balanced fragrance and crisp sweetness that harmonizes delicately with lighter courses, while the rare Koshi No Kanbal "Tokusen" captivates with nuanced, elusive flavors, offering an elegant, almost poetic counterpart to the meal’s rich textures and vibrant tastes.
Whether you’re a kaiseki aficionado or encountering this refined style of Japanese cuisine for the first time, Kaiseki Yuzu promises a truly immersive and heartfelt experience. The kitchen’s commitment to authenticity, combined with the uniquely intimate ambiance, invites guests to savor every bite with mindful appreciation. From the initial Zensai to the final mochi dessert, this is dining elevated — a rare gem amid Las Vegas’ bustling culinary scene that leaves a lasting impression of thoughtful craftsmanship and genuine warmth.
We came for the kaiseki menu during restaurant week and had a great time! We called for reservations but if you're looking for the usual menus, you can make your reservation online. We picked the 5:30 pm seating on Monday and there were three other parties of 2 dining with us. The food was executed well and looked fantastic. There were a few bumps in terms of experience from the wait staff but not major. We didn't leave stuffed but we weren't hungry either. One of the parties that night picked one of the regular menu offerings and had more dishes than us. I would come back for another menu offering.
My wife and I visited Kaiseki Yuzu for our anniversary meal on Sunday, September 7, 2025. I’m not usually one for writing reviews, since opinions are so personal, but after our experience at Kaiseki Yuzu I felt this one had to be shared. To say we left disappointed would be an understatement — because we don’t think we’ll ever again have such an amazing evening of food and service. We were fortunate enough to have two chefs and our own Nakaisan looking after us throughout the meal, and the bar has now been set impossibly high. Watching master artists at work — the precision, the calm, the sheer elegance — was worth the visit alone. I had worried beforehand that it might feel overly formal or even a little awkward, but it was anything but. The chefs and our Nakaisan explained each dish, shared insights into the ingredients and their origins, and engaged in relaxed conversation that made the whole evening feel warm and personal. The Food Although we’ve dined at many Japanese restaurants, this was our first true Kaiseki experience. The food was next-level: ten courses, each plated like a piece of art, each flavor and texture carefully layered to complement the next. Even when there was a recommended order of tasting, every element stood beautifully on its own. Every bite was subtle, delicate, and obscenely good. The Hosting Simply put: impeccable. I can’t think of a better word. The Price Yes, it’s expensive compared to an everyday restaurant. But everyday restaurants serve everyday food with everyday service. Kaiseki Yuzu is something else entirely. Exceptional quality, artistry, and hospitality come at a premium — and in my opinion, it was worth every penny. Overall I don’t believe anything is truly perfect, so nothing will ever get a 10/10 from me. But this was as close as it gets: 9.9999999999999999/10. Would I return? Absolutely. The next time I’m in Las Vegas, this will be my first stop.
A world class restaurant with incredible food, served with love and care. Truly a gem. My story: I visited Kaiseki Yuzu for the first time in January 2020 while in town for work. During last night's service, I mentioned this to my hostess. She remembered me, and told me I was the first paying customer. I'd forgotten, but the restaurant wasn't open to the public. The night I visited was a soft opening for friends and family. Since I was leaving soon, I'd politely asked to join, and they graciously accepted. Touched by this courtesy, I wrote them a letter thanking the staff, and the hostess told me the chef still has it! This is the personal touch and kindness that makes Kaiseki Yuzu so unique. Eat here, you'll be glad you did.
I can’t believe I forgot to do a review for this place. It’s been awhile since I last ate here so I’m not going to share pictures from that tasting. I did the highest tier with my girlfriend. We made a reservation in advance. We took an uber here from the strip. This was my first kaiseki experience and it left a positive impression. We were pretty satisfied with everything that we ate. The quality tasted exceptional. Service was fantastic. For our own experience, the price was worth it.
Very small and intimate establishment. The food is top notch and compared to the best food we experienced in Japan. We went there for our anniversary and did not leave disappointed!
When I arrived to the place I thought it was weird, so don't let appearances fool you! The ambience is nice, staff are very polite and friendly, our Chef was very professional and food was beautiful looking and great flavor! It is kind of expensive but I feel like it was a great experience, the food and their presentations was very nice!
Easily the best dining experience of my life so far. The team here elevates existing traditional Japanese cuisine to a level befitting the credentials of the team of talented chefs working behind the counter. The hospitality displayed by the team was second to none in terms of intimacy and care provided, with individual presentations of each course and a willingness to answer any questions you may have. The entire menu was a perfect balance of flavors, I hope I am lucky enough to eat here again. これわ一番懐石料理の地球。To me, at least.
